Due to the increased number of active Covid-19 cases in the county, the Salmon School District Board of Trustees made the difficult decision to delay the start of school for students until Sept 14th.
This decision was not made lightly or without a lot of thought by both the board and administration. The Board of Trustees and the Administrative team’s main desire is keeping the students and staff safe. They are in hopes this will allow the district to start school in person for the students to get them started off on the best foot possible for the year.
The Board of Trustees will meet on August 31, 2020 to determine how to adjust the school calendar to make up the 6 days of school lost between September 1st and September 14, 2020. Calendars will be updated as needed following the meeting.
